Couples Blues dancing to a live band at an atmospheric evening event.

About

Black Mountain Blues Festival brings a weekend of Blues music, social dancing and live entertainment to East Belfast from 2–4 October 2026.

Hosted by Belfast charity Our Social Space, the festival celebrates the Blues as a living social tradition, bringing people together through music, movement and shared experience.

Across the weekend, dancers can take part in Blues dance workshops with internationally renowned teacher Dexter Santos, alongside social dancing and two evenings of live Blues music from the Gareth Hughes Blues Band and Lee Hedley Blues Band.

For those who simply want to enjoy the atmosphere, Party Passes offer access to the Friday and Saturday evening events, with live music and social dancing — no dance experience required.

Whether already part of the Blues dance community or simply curious to discover something different in Belfast, Black Mountain Blues Festival offers a welcoming weekend rooted in great music, movement and connection.
