The Magical Christmas Experience returns to The Ark Open Farm in Newtownards from 22 November to 24 December 2026.

More than a traditional Santa visit, this carefully created experience takes families on an approximately two hour journey through the farm in a small group, led throughout by one of Santa's friendly elves.

The adventure begins with a chance to meet and feed Santa's real reindeer before setting off on a festive tractor ride filled with Christmas stories and songs. Each family will then enjoy their own private visit with Santa, with time to chat and take photographs together.

The journey continues through the Elf Village, where children can decorate gingerbread, prepare reindeer food for Christmas Eve and visit the elf sweet shop. In Santa's Workshop, each child will choose, stuff and bring to life their own cuddly teddy bear to take home.

Hot chocolate and marshmallow toasting by the fire add to the cosy atmosphere, while detailed festive displays, snow-covered trees and twinkling lights help make the experience feel especially magical.

Families can choose from three ways to visit:

a Daytime Experience with access to more of the farm's play attractions

an After Dark Experience when the Christmas lights are at their brightest

or a dedicated Quiet Experience offering the same festive journey in a calmer setting for visitors with sensory needs.
