The Halloween Pumpkin Patch returns to The Ark Open Farm in Newtownards on selected dates from 10–31 October 2026, with a packed programme offering much more than a traditional pumpkin-picking visit.

Families can choose their perfect pumpkin from the patch before taking it to the carving station, where children can help scoop it out and The Ark's team will carve their chosen design - leaving the mess behind!

The experience also includes a slime-making workshop, marshmallow toasting for children and adults, a Halloween Trail with a sweet treat for children, Halloween-themed animal encounters, a journey through the Fairytale Forest and Dino Trail, a barrel ride and seasonal photo opportunities throughout the farm.

New for 2026, families can gather around the witches' cauldron for a Halloween Mini Show featuring bubbling brews, spell-casting and a touch of Halloween magic.

Unlike a standalone pumpkin-picking experience, every ticket also includes full admission to The Ark Open Farm. Visitors can meet the farm animals, explore the play areas and enjoy the wider farm attractions, making it a full family day out with Halloween activities woven throughout.

Quiet Session will take place on Sunday 25 October for visitors with sensory sensitivities. Advance advance booking is recommended.
