Poet and performer Joshua Idehen brings his acclaimed new album I Know You're Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try to the festival.
Following the breakout success of Mum Does The Washing and appearances at Glastonbury, Green Man and on Later... with Jools Holland, I know your Hurting is an urgent but transcendent collection filled with grief, euphoria and hope.
Created with Swedish producer Ludvig Parment, the album pairs Idehen's spoken word with expansive electronic soundscapes, uplifting choirs and exuberant, sometimes house-tinged beats.
After years of honing his craft, Idehen's live performances combine lyrical precision with the energy of the dancefloor. This is music that is truly arresting – but simultaneously makes you want to wave your arms in the air and dance.
