Make Some Noise! Live Sound Effects Workshop (For Ages: 7-12)

Explore the hidden magic of movie sound and the world of foley, the art of creating sound effects for film while playing along live, using everyday objects to recreate everything from galloping horses and croaking frogs to crackling fires and rolling thunder. Along the way, participants will discover how foley artists bring films to life and experiment with the surprising objects used to create cinematic sound effects. Everyone will also make their own simple musical instrument before working together to create a collaborative soundtrack for a short film clip.

Ages: 7-12 / Duration: 90 mins.

Start Time: 3.00pm (Exit Time: 4.30pm).

Venue: Ulster Museum, Learning Zone

This is a drop-off workshop. Parent/guardian supervision is not required. On the day of the workshop, parent/guardian will be asked to fill in a contact details registration form before the event.
