This reimagining of Howard Zinn's Marx in Soho seeks to uncover the local and contemporary relevance of Karl Marx's ideas. Through Zinn's sharp wit and passionate writing, Marx is revisited not as a distant historical figure but as a thinker whose critiques of power, class, and inequality still echo today—Our Karl.

In this new staging, the focus is on what has changed since Marx's time—and what has stubbornly remained the same. The production considers where his theories still resonate in modern society and where they fall short. Set against the backdrop of communities both new and old, the work invites audiences to engage critically with Marx's writings and teachings, reflecting on capitalism, justice, conflict, and social change in the 21st century.
