The visit begins with a warm welcome at the beautiful Montalto House, Co. Down, where guests can enjoy tea, coffee and homemade shortbread before their guided tour commences. The tour provides an opportunity to explore the grandeur of this 18th-century Georgian mansion, along with its wonderful collection of original art and antiques.
Guests will move through the main rooms of the house, including the Lady's Sitting Room, which features its original plastered ceilings by Robert West, created in 1758. Throughout the tour, guests will be immersed in the history of Montalto as they hear many interesting and entertaining accounts of what life was like on the estate.
As Montalto House is not open to the public, this tour offers a truly special opportunity to experience the house and discover its unique history and character.
Please note that access via this ticket does not include entry to the Trails & Gardens. Guests wishing to visit the Trails & Gardens can purchase access separately via the website or ticket office.
Event Details
Guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the start of their House Tour.
For this event, guests should enter the estate via the private entrance on Dromore Road and follow the signs for Montalto House. Please note that there is no access to this event via the normal entrance on Spa Road.
