Shadow Play: Stop-Motion Animation Workshop (For Ages: 7-12)

Create a world of make-believe using paper cut-outs or just our hands, a torch and a blank wall. Participants will create their own articulated silhouette characters and frame by frame bring them to life using basic stop-motion techniques. The activity will be followed by a short fairy-tale animation featuring shadows and paper cut-out animation by silhouette artist Lotte Reiniger. This is an excellent introduction to animation for all abilities.

Ages: 7-12 / Duration: 90 mins.

Start Time: 12.30pm (Exit Time: 2.00pm).

Venue: Ulster Museum, Learning Zone

This is a drop-off workshop. Parent/guardian supervision is not required. On the day of the workshop, parent/guardian will be asked to fill in a contact details registration form before the event.
