An audience attending a Terror Talk by Alternative Ulstours at Belfast's Sunflower Public House

About

Join dark historian Andrew Johnston of Alternative Ulstours for an illustrated Terror Talk on the notorious serial killer who inspired Jamie Dornan's character in The Fall.

By day, council official Dennis Rader was a mild-mannered, bespectacled family man and church leader. By night, he obsessively stalked female victims, planning a series of sadistic, sexually motivated murders that shocked the world.

Rader taunted police, even coining his own nickname, 'BTK', standing for 'bind them, torture them, kill them'. The 'BTK Killer' terrorised the US state of Kansas between 1974 and 1991, then the deaths inexplicably stopped.

Years passed, but Rader's ego drove him to resurface and his arrogance sealed his fate. Now in his eighties, he languishes behind bars, where his daughter has confronted her ailing father for information on other suspected BTK slayings...

So, come along to the iconic Sunflower Public House, buy a drink, pull up a seat and brave the horrifying true story of one of America's most elusive serial killers!
