Traditional Irish Breadmaking

About

Join Tracey in her kitchen on the shores of Strangford Lough in County Down, just 30 minutes from Belfast. A warm welcome awaits you with some homemade buttermilk soda bannock fresh from the oven. Then you get the aprons on…

You'll be learning how to make and bake a variety of traditional griddle breads. As our soda breads, wheaten and potato breads are made on the griddle, they are all ready to eat within 15 minutes of making them. There is no need to weigh or measure anything – you make these breads by hand in the traditional way.
