Wednesday Swing & Jazz is a welcoming weekly social dance class in East Belfast, set to lively swing and jazz music. Designed to be beginner-friendly and relaxed, the sessions focus on connection, rhythm and enjoyment in a supportive community atmosphere.

Participants can expect accessible footwork, upbeat music and plenty of encouragement, whether attending alone or with friends. No partner or prior dance experience is needed — just a willingness to join in and have fun.

The class is open to all adults through donation-based places, helping keep sessions accessible to the wider community. Free funded places are also available through the Step into Social programme, supporting adults living with anxiety, depression, PTSD or related mental health challenges to take part in regular social activity.

Delivered by Our Social Space, a Belfast-based charity, Wednesday Swing & Jazz offers more than just dance — it provides a welcoming space where people can connect, build confidence and enjoy the simple wellbeing that comes from moving to music together.
