This Autumn, Hollow Reed are proud to launch our inaugural New Writing Celebration, 'Whispers from the Reed'. A project that exists with the sole purpose of assisting local writers to have their work realized and performed.

From a strong field of 40+ submissions by emerging writers and creatives across Belfast and Northern Ireland, our panel of local theatre-makers has selected four outstanding plays for production. These works will bridge the gap between a rehearsed reading and a fully realised show — staged on a tight budget yet elevated by the talent and creativity of a dedicated team of artists.
